Opera has released the beta version of its 11.01 browser, which has the codename of Barracuda. It is claimed by the company that the browser boasts of enhanced speed, due to a new browser core. Moreover, it is equipped with some decent features, among which one can name Speed Dial. Opera 11.01 is already available for download for Mac, Linux and PC platforms.
The Speed Dial provides the ability to have unlimited links to your favorite websites. Moreover, it is enabled with a zoom slider used for the Speed Dial in order to mange the chaos of multiple links. Users can customize the speed dial with a background offered with sweet looking transparency effects.
There is also the ability to automatically download Flash plugins in the background. Users will get a hassle-free web browsing experience. Barracuda is also supportive to CSS3 multi-column layouts and gradients.
Although Opera may not gather the same media interest as Firefox 4 of Mozilla, Internet Explorer of Microsoft or Chrome of Google, still it is enabled with a range of great features. The beta release of Opera only indicates that the browser does not stand while its competitors are trying to knock seven bells put of each other.
